Xi'an mayor suggests building China-Europe train assembly center
Li Mingyuan, a deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC) and the mayor of Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, has suggested that the State further support Xi'an in building a China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) assembly center.
He made the suggestions on March 6, when the Shaanxi delegation to the fifth session of the 13th NPC reviewed the country's work report.
Li said that many of the tasks mentioned in the government work report are directly related to Shaanxi and Xi'an, especially important measures related to the expansion of high-level opening-up.
This will provide important opportunities for Shaanxi and Xi'an to promote opening-up and make up for shortcomings, he added.
In addition, Li suggested the country further support Xi'an in building an international arbitration center and a national center for foreign exchange.
